The Faceless of Athabasca
A Novella from the Vaults of EORYX
Anton Brinza
In this frightening novella, the founder of a collective called the Enclave of Ontological Research for Yesternight Explorers (EORYX) provides a firsthand account of his brief association with the Alberta Oil Field Murderer. With the help of a mysterious woman named Noelle Otto, EORYX identifies the killer before the authorities even have a clue. The founder, Claude Mises, takes two associates into the Canadian wilderness to persuade the man that only EORYX can save him from the consequences of his crimes. Of course, they will want something in return—unfettered access to the entity influencing the man’s mind.
From the months leading up to this fateful encounter to the aftermath of a week spent at the killer’s remote cabin, this account offers a window into the enigmatic collective, EORYX, as well as the timeless being at the center of their research. Nothing is as it seems when nightmares spill into real life, and no one can be trusted.
